Puts a good point on a traditional pencil.... very lightweight, so you will have to secure it with one hand while sharpening the pencil with the other, or it can move around while sharpening.

Product jammed but customer service was excellent

This was purchased for light use at home. It worked great at first. I like the size and also how easy it is to detach base from power cord to dump shavings. After 4 months of owning this though, a lead broke off inside the sharpener blocking the blade. We tried to remove it but it turns out the blade is not actually accessible to dislodge broken off bits that become stuck. However, I contact their customer service and they kindly and immediately sent us a free replacement. Two thumbs up for standing behind their product!
