Good litter box but could be better

This is definitely a good size for a larger cat. However, if you use clay litter, the drawer is very difficult to open and maneuver out to scoop, which we do twice daily. The drawer, while wide and long enough, is NOT deep enough for cats who love to really dig and bury their mess. The litter does end up getting scattered in the nooks and crannies of the seams and then falls through the floor, so you must put a litter mat underneath it. If those issues were fixed, I would call this perfect.

This cat box was easy for my cat to learn how to get in and out of, however my long hair kitty is a big girl and though she fits in it she does have to maneuver a bit to get out the top. It does reduce the mess but not completely. It would work better if a bit taller. Litter does get under the bottom tray but that does not bother me because I still have to keep my hand vac close by to pick up what still sticks to her paws. Overall a better solution that a regular covered front entry cat cox.

I really enjoy these litter boxes for our three cats, especially since they make a much smaller mess. They are pretty sturdy and easy to assemble. The only complaint I have is that the one box we have had for the longest, about 6 months now, seems to leak every once in a while? It could be my cats peeing on the side instead of straight down into the tray, but I have had to wipe urine up under the box a few times now. This could be easily fixed by placing a mat or pad under the box.

Litter Nightmare

These were great when I first bought them I dont want to completely fault the litter box but litter gets into every crack and crevice of the box. Anytime I move the box litter pours out of the cracks leaving a mess behind. I have tried several different kinds of litter but the cats get litter on top of the box and STILL track litter despite the slots for it to fall back into the box. The litter also sticks to the bottom and sides of the box anytime they go to the bathroom and it makes it difficult to remove. Unfortunately because of how it is designed it seems to almost aerate the stench of their business. Its not the worst box I have ever used but it could use some updates.
